England and Wales Cricket Board

We were excited to be asked by Joe Dale, Regional Youth Participation Executive of the England and Wales Cricket Board, to deliver eight social media training events to the cricket development workforce at the ECB. This included regional Cricket Boards & the marketing teams within them. As a distributed team this meant we spent a few days on the road visiting each group to deliver the training. Although the temptation for businesses these days is to deliver training remotely (via Skype for example) we feel nothing beats true in-house training where we can deliver a bespoke face-face workshop with participants.

After a busy and successful couple of weeks we are delighted to have delivered 21 hours of training to 110 attendees! Our thanks to the fantastic team at the ECB for their participation in the workshops. We hope the new insights into the effective use of Social Media will be of benefit as they work to promote Cricket across the UK.

"I approached Introtweet with a view to delivering 7 training events across the country to upskill the professional cricket development workforce responsible for growing participation in the sport. From the very start Introtweet were extremely supportive and happy to visit all corners of the country. After sorting dates, they engaged with all the individual session leaders who supplied them with some local context, and set up the self-assessment questionnaires so Introtweet could tailor the content of each session. The feedback has been excellent from all the events and by the end we’ll have trained in excess of 100 staff. I’m sure the cricket industry will call on Introtweet again in the future to continue to develop our staff in the significance of using social media effectively."

“"Introtweet delivered a three hour social media workshop for a group of 12 professionals from the sport development industry (cricket to be specific). The broad content was designed based on an original brief from myself, but the relevance on the day was made really significant to the attendees as they’d all completed a self-assessment tool prior to the training. The session delivered some key context for how facebook, Instagram and twitter are designed and operate and some tools and techniques for how to use them to their full capability. Most importantly attendees were given time to have a go on all platforms all the way through the session and seek guidance and support from Pete as they went. There was also a real emphasis on how to put these skills into action and create time and focus to make the absolute most of social media in their day to day work. Pete’s style of delivery was relaxed and fun and made for an excellent learning environment for all those attending."”

“"On behalf of the 6 North Region County Boards, and the ECB, I would like to say a HUGE thanks for the excellent Social Media Training Workshop that you delivered to our staff on 20th February. I’ve not seen the team as engaged in a workshop, or speak so positively about a training day like they did on, and following the day with you both.

The team really valued the information provided and the way in which it was presented – so much excellent content, hints, tips & tricks provided, but in such an easy to understand format. As a result of the learning on the day, the content that is being shared on the County Boards channels, along with the timing of the posts, engagement levels, calls to action etc, has all vastly improved and this is testament to the excellent training provided. I really look forward to seeing how the County Boards use their respective channels to engage with their audiences, drive interest and convert their interactions into sign ups/new participants for this summers National Programmes.

Once again, many thanks for an excellent training session and I hope to share further experiences with Introtweet in the future.””
